但是，

 

already 还有更加地道，却不为人知的用法

 

假如：你在等待你的朋友，他却迟到了，那么你可能会给他打电话说：Where are you already？

 

再假如，你在拼命赶报告，还有一个小时就到截止日期了，你的老板看到说了一句：You should be done already.

 

你有没有发现，already是在强调 lateness. 当你已经太迟了，或者马上就要迟到了……更隐身的意思是:hurry、hurry…..

 

但是不要和你的老板、老师、长辈这样来使用。因为already 放在句末的感情基调类似于：what’s going on?

what’s the hell? 否则会使他们生气。
